Focus and Scope
Journal of Correctional Issues (JCI) is a journal published by the Politeknik Ilmu Pemasyarakatan (Poltekip) twice a year. JCI accepts articles from lecturers/researchers /official government, practitioners, and others.
Articles are the result of empirical research or thoughts on prisoners/inmates, correctional, Social problems that impact life problems and vulnerability to legal issues, or imprisonment from various perspectives on Criminology, Sociology, Psychology, Criminal law, Social welfare, Public administration, Management Correction, Education Correction, Health, and other fields.
Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to Journal of Correctional Issues must follow focus and scope, and author guidelines of this journal. The submitted manuscripts must address scientific merit or novelty appropriate to the focus and scope. All manuscripts must be free from plagiarism contents. All authors are suggested to use plagiarism detection softaware to do the similarity checking. Editors check the plagiarism detection of articles in this journal.
The research article submitted to Journal of Correctional Issues (JCI) will be peer-reviewed at least 2 (two) or more expert reviewers. The reviewers give scientific valuable comments improving the contents of the manuscript.
Final decision of articles acceptance will be made by Editors according to reviewers comments. Publication of accepted articles including the sequence of published articles will be made by Editor in Chief by considering sequence of accepted date and geographical distribution of authors as well as thematic issue.
Journal of Correctional Issues (JCI) (P-ISSN 2614-2414 and E-ISSN 2775-670X) is a national journal published by Politeknik Ilmu Pemasyarakatan, Indonesia. It covers all areas of criminal, social, psychology, public administration, management, education, and government law. Its global readership includes educational, teachers, students and others with a professional or personal interest in Correctional Science. This journal warmly welcomes contributions from scholars of related disciplines.
Journal of Correctional Issues (JCI) has become a CrossRef Member since the year 2021. Therefore, all articles published by Journal of Correctional Issues will have unique DOI number.
Publication Frequency
Journal of Correctional Issues (JCI) published twice a year (June and December).
Journal of Correctional Issues (JCI) focuses a collection of articles on Correctional Science, with the aim of disseminating the understandings according to Correctional Science.
